Project 1: digitalANTIQUE
This installation sought to connect the past and present for the citizens of Split and to offer an opportunity for expression concerning the local issues of today. The work was situated in the conceptual space where digital projections meet analog space.
Historical figures, synonymous with Split, for example Dioklecian, Ivan Mestrovic & Siegmund Freud were used to give a voice to the issues and concerns of the current generation of inhabitants of the city. These figures represent the city spirits who will, by projection on to the walls of the city, "tell" people how they feel about city today and so act as a catalyst for thought. By projecting sculptures and messages, the idea was to make people stop, look, read and re-think.
